The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on September 16, 2026, issued a notification regarding an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Copper Data Cables” originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China- Final Findings.
The following has been stated: -
•DGTR concluded that imports of structured Copper Data Cables from China caused material injury to the Indian domestic industry.
•The investigation covered CAT 5e, CAT 6, CAT 6A, CAT 7, CAT 7A and patch cords under HS 854449.
•DGTR found increased import volumes, significant price undercutting, and price suppression affecting domestic producers.
•Accordingly, DGTR recommended an anti-dumping duty for 5 years, subject to the lesser duty rule.
•A duty of US$86/MT is recommended for producers other than the four specified Chinese producers, while the specified producers attract NIL duty.
